SPAB Scholarship
In 2013, Ross completed the Lethaby Research Scholarship with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB). Alongside three other selected scholars, he spent nine months travelling around the UK visiting ancient buildings and learning, what SPAB calls, the "practical and positive side of conservation" from experts of traditional building technologies and contemporary conservation principles.
The skills and knowledge he learnt, as well as the people he met along the way, are an invaluable resource for Emil Eve projects. These watercolour drawings were undertaken during a tour of privately owned country houses in England.
