Emil Eve Architects

Emil Eve are incredibly collaborative and creative, and we found it a joy to work with them. Together with them, we created a brief and they reached a design that was smart, beautiful and achievable. Their ability to craft and detail considered spaces is second to none and their knowledge of materials, processes and regulations is excellent. We wouldn’t think twice about working with them again.

Emil Eve are a pleasure to work with. They have an exceptional eye and vision for design and detail. As clients, we were encouraged to discuss our ideas whilst being inspired to consider other architectural options. With a listed building at the heart of the project, it was invaluable to have an architect that had conservation experience but with a modern aesthetic outlook. It was also a joy to work with Emma and Ross who are professional, friendly and open.

The range of ideas and possible uses were stunning... the practical solutions and uplifting arts suggestions put forward by Emil Eve will ensure the life of a beautiful heritage building such as St Martin’s church for generations to come.

"Often faced with the challenge of introducing modern design into historic and listed buildings in London, the practice’s astute perspective on contemporary design prevails."

Emil Eve Architects have been the lead designers for the development of five of our properties since 2012. We have been impressed with their design solutions, technical and material knowledge and their success at gaining planning permission for complex situations including work to listed buildings and projects in conservation areas. Emil Eve are highly adept at coordinating the design and construction teams, working to programme, and being pragmatic when working to budget constraints.

Emil Eve Architects provided an excellent service from our first meeting to the highly successful end of the project. Emma provided detailed and sensitive advice in relation to the full renovation of my Victorian house in Cambridge. She provided the full range of professional services, including architect drawings and specification for the planned work. Above all, she demonstrated an outstanding awareness of the needs of her client in every way. I am delighted by the beautiful transformation of my house!

I was impressed by the light touch interventions which gave the warehouse apartment a new identity. The project stands as an example for continued use of a long-lasting, but carbon intensive brick and concrete structure supported by high quality timber interiors.

When searching for architects,  we wanted a firm who would push things a bit further, and who had an eye for design so they'd help us inject life and colour into the house. And we'd have to say Emil Eve did just that! All in all, we really love our house now. The space really works for us, we have colour and real design features where we previously had bland! And whereas once it was painful to even have friends for dinner (let alone guests staying!), now it's a pleasure to fill the space with people.

“It’s been great to move into a place that didn’t need any renovation work. We immediately loved the aesthetic the previous owners, Emil Eve Architects, created.

They reconfigured and designed the flat to make the best possible use of space. They added a new kitchen with a white Corian worktop, bespoke ash shelving, tiles in the hallway and a bathroom with underfloor heating and lots of clever storage to make the most of the space – it’s only 45 square metres but feels far bigger."
